Cranes require appropriate qualifications to operate them. You can get them by participating in specials trainings for overhead traveling cranes, which are currently organized in many different training centers operating throughout Poland.
Permissions are granted in two categories:
- cranes, hoists and general-purpose winches
- general and special-purpose cranes, hoists and winches
The first step to obtain the qualifications is signing up for the training - it includes both theoretical classes, during which students receive information on the operation of the device, its construction, health and safety and other important information, as well as practical classes, i.e. crane operation.
At the end of the course, participants take a theory and practice exam before a commission from the Office of Technical Inspection. If the exam is passed successfully, the participant will receive the relevant authorisations to operate cranes. It is also possible to obtain authorisations in other languages if one wishes to work outside Poland.
