UDT certificate

Successfully passing the state exam is the first step to becoming certified to operate and maintain mobile and portable cranes. To obtain this certificate, candidates must prove their knowledge and skills in crane safety and operation. After passing the exam, the Office of Technical Inspection issues an official licence to operate and maintain cranes.

The qualification obtained is valid for 5 years and allows you to carry out your crane duties throughout the European Union. Holding this certificate means that the owner is able to operate cranes safely and effectively, ensuring the safety of others.

In order to maintain their certification, certificate holders must attend training courses and examinations every five years to update their knowledge and skills. This is important because crane technology and regulations are constantly changing and certificate holders need to keep up to date with these changes to ensure the safety and efficiency of their equipment.

Description of mobile and portable cranes

Mobile and portable cranes, otherwise known as handling cranes, are often used to transport machinery, building materials and pallets. Specialised versions of these machines can also be used for work on the maintenance of electrical networks and forestry crops. In order to operate and maintain the popular HDS cranes, it is necessary to be qualified. Dump cranes are lifting devices mounted on a truck between the driver's cab and the body, or at the rear of the vehicle. They are used for loading and unloading goods. Specialised models of these machines called forestry cranes, which also include harvesters and forwards, are used for skidding and transporting timber.
