Rail crane operator course

Our training company offers courses for train drivers and rail crane maintainers. Our training courses consist of a theoretical and practical part and are taught by experienced and specialised staff. We actively prepare students for the UDT state examination and assist with all formalities.

Course of training

Our training is designed for people who want to gain the skills and qualifications needed to start a career as a maintenance or crane operator. During the theoretical part, our lecturers use educational videos. Each trainee receives free training materials to consolidate knowledge after the course. We practice through active discussions and group exercises.

Our students receive information in the following areas:

  • construction of ships and cranes and their characteristics and use,
  • types of lift,
  • working as an operator,
  • expert regulations,
  • technical parameters of the lifts,
  • maintenance and repair of railway cranes,
  • Health, safety and first aid.

In addition to theoretical classes, we pay attention to practical classes. Through these, our trainees acquire skills and learn to operate machines fluently. The practical part is supervised by experienced teachers who assist the students at every stage of the training. In the occupational health and safety and first aid courses, students learn how occupational hazards arise. For the practical part, we use functioning machines. We practise in a room prepared for our courses, which meets all health and safety and UDT conditions.

Rail mounted cranes - what you need to know

Rail cranes are also often referred to as harbour cranes. This is due to their frequent use in ports. This type of crane is used to move goods onto platforms or vice versa. They are designed to lift and lower loads and move them along the harbour shore. Rail crane drivers are extremely important and necessary workers.

UDT exam

Our course in the operation and maintenance of railway cranes concludes with a state examination before a commission from the Office of Technical Inspection. The exam consists of two parts - a test and a practical part, where students have to perform tasks related to the operation and maintenance of railway cranes. After passing both parts of the exam, the trainee receives a certificate of completion of the training and a permit from the Office of Technical Inspection to practice the profession. This is valid for five years. After this time, an application for renewal of the professional qualification must be submitted to the organisation.
