Training as hook and line fitter
KURSO training centre has many years of experience in running professional courses for the position of hook, UDT signalman. We teach in accordance with the guidelines of the technical supervision and prepare students for the state examination. We guarantee comprehensive preparation for the profession. The aim of our training is to pass on knowledge of the requirements for internal transport in transport, construction, repair and assembly work.
Course flow
Our course is all about practice and theory based on the experience of the specialist instructor. Training is prepared in terms of knowledge of electronics, mechanics, technical parameters and, of course, health and safety rules.
Examples of issues discussed during the training:
- key information on the cranes used at work,
- acquaintance with the technical supervision regulations applicable to the workplace,
- duties as a hook, signalman,
- Familiarise yourself with health and safety regulations,
- practical activities.
Exam
After completion of the theoretical and practical parts of the course, an internal examination is held. On the basis of a positive result of such an examination, a licence to practice the profession is issued. A person participating in such a course receives a certificate confirming the completion of the training on the basis of a model from the MEN.
Purpose of the course
Our training is designed to familiarise trainees with the current regulations governing the handling of slings and the safe transport of loads. Participants will consolidate their knowledge of sling construction, technical characteristics, wear criteria and safety devices including but not limited to:
- assessing the technical condition of slings both before and after work - making optimum use of the technical possibilities of auxiliary slings,
- identifying the hazards involved when working with an overhead crane,
- dealing with emergency situations arising during the operation of cranes,
- acquire the skills to transport loads safely,
- to learn about equipment and load handling techniques that enable the hooker to effectively use the capabilities of the crane without endangering himself or others.
Who this course is for?
The Hook and Loader (hook signaller) course is aimed at people who carry out loading and unloading work. These are people who work as aids to operators of overhead cranes, HDS cranes and other machines with slings. Hook signaller training is aimed at workers who want to improve their qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- knowledge of current UDT regulations,
- knowledge of the applicable internal regulations,
- secure load suspension,
- safe movement of loads.
Requirements before the course
Those interested in the course should:
- be at least 18 years old,
- hold a medical certificate of no contraindication to the occupation,
- have at least a primary school education.
