Training for the maintenance and operation of stacker cranes
We would like to invite you to our training courses on the operation and maintenance of warehouse stacker cranes. You will improve your qualifications and obtain new authorisations. We have qualified staff who will comprehensively prepare you for your new profession. Once you have successfully passed the exam, you will receive a qualification certificate confirming the skills you have acquired. The operating exam and the maintenance exam are very different, even though they cover the same equipment. The course and scope of the material covered are different.
Good knowledge is required to pass the service examination:
- UDT regulations,
- documentation needed for the equipment,
- health and safety rules,
- operation of the device.
The storage stacker crane maintenance exam covers a wider range of knowledge. You must demonstrate:
- the ability to read technical documentation,
- knowledge of maintenance regulations for the equipment in question,
- precise knowledge of the construction of the device,
- knowledge of the electrical diagrams used,
- knowledge of the mechanical schemes used,
- knowledge of the specific wear and tear criteria for each component of the stacker cranes.
Requirements for trainees
- age - at least 18 years,
- minimum primary education,
- no medical contraindication to the job.
Entitlements
After completing the training and passing the exam, the graduate is authorised to carry out new tasks, confirmed by a qualification certificate for the relevant category. The authorisations are issued by the Office of Technical Inspection and are recognised in Poland and EU countries.

Construction of storage stacker cranes
Stacker cranes are machines used for storing goods in warehouses of great height. They allow the storage process itself to be automated. They are a system of devices that lift, move and deposit goods in the desired locations on the racks. Various types of plastic or wooden pallets, plastic or metal containers are used to transport materials using stacker cranes. The use of these mechanisms makes it possible to store loads on the shelves:
- palletised,
- shelving,
- passers-by,
- cantilevered.
Stacker cranes and safety
Warehouse stacker cranes have some important features to enhance the safety of people and other equipment working in the vicinity. These include:
- speed limiters,
- emergency brakes,
- overload protection sensors,
- cab designed for the operator,
- systems to check the damage status of chains or ropes,
- nets to protect unwanted access to the stacker crane,
- limit switches whose function is to control the position of the bottom and top load and the movement of the stacker crane in the rack.
The main parameters of storage stacker cranes include load capacity, lifting height, maximum load dimensions, lifting speed and rail speed.
The following types of storage stacker cranes are distinguished:
- passable,
- pillars,
- framework,
- suspended.
