TDT training

Our training centre provides courses to prepare for the TDT examination. Transport Technical Inspection covers equipment in the field of onward transportation. Many pieces of equipment are included in the TDT group, including, among others, machines used on trains and in railway stations. In order to use UNO-type equipment, you also need a TDT authorisation.

What are the tasks of the TDT?

The information contained in Article 44 on technical supervision tells us clearly that the TDT performs technical supervision of technical equipment located on trains, at railway sidings, on sea vessels, pontoons and in ports. Supervision does not stop with the previously mentioned machinery, but also covers various types of tanks, including those transported by rail or road. It also performs its tasks on ski-lifts, on line-railways and in fuel vapour recovery facilities located in the port areas of transshipment bases.

What does the UNO course involve?

The course involving the filling and emptying of tanks and reservoirs falls under TDT certification. The name UNO derives from the type of equipment we work on. The transport of hazardous materials requires a licence to do so. Hazardous materials include:

  • flammable in the gaseous and liquid state,
  • self-inflammatory,
  • poisonous,
  • corrosive,
  • oxidising.

Those with a licence can also carry pressurised filled materials such as:

  • asphalt,
  • fertilisers,
  • cement,
  • oils.

Appropriate authorisations are required for each class of material listed above. The case is very similar for the different types of tanks, as there are several types. The UNO training course will enable the trainee to acquire the necessary knowledge regarding the use of this type of equipment.

Who are we targeting with our training?

Our training centre addresses this training offer to people who want to broaden their professional qualifications. A person wishing to enrol on our course must be at least 18 years of age and, in addition, have at least an elementary education and a medical certificate stating that there are no contraindications to work. It is very important that you complete the application form for the TDT examination correctly. This plays an important role, as without filling it in, you will not be able to take the training course.

The information mentioned above about Transport Technical Inspection will be covered in much more detail in our training course. Our course is conducted by qualified professionals who have many years of experience in this sector.

Our other training courses

In addition to our TDT licence courses, we also provide training for the UDT exam in the operation of equipment such as:

  • forklift trucks,
  • mobile platforms (including aerial work platforms and scissor lifts),
  • hoists and winches,
  • HDS cranes,
  • telescopic handlers,
  • cranes.
