Telescopic loader operator training

At KURSO, we offer specialised training for telehandler operators. We are one of the most experienced operators on the market in providing training for operators of UDT equipment. We provide a professional programme prepared on the basis of current technical supervision requirements.

Course flow

Telescopic handler training is generally divided into two stages:

  • the theoretical part,
  • the practical part.

During the classes we impart knowledge on:

  • hydraulic and electrical systems,
  • correct operation of the equipment,
  • preparatory activities before work,
  • control system operation,
  • basic maintenance,
  • unusual challenges at work,
  • UDT requirements,
  • breakdown of equipment and its specifications,
  • health and safety rules.

Exam

The course to become a telehandler operator as well as for other handling equipment concludes with an examination before a commission from the Office of Technical Inspection. Just like the training courses, the examination includes tests of theoretical and practical knowledge. For this reason, our training programme is always based on the current examination requirements.

Location

All courses take place throughout Poland. We also offer classes that are delivered at the client's location. The course can take the form of an open or closed course. Other aspects of the training depend on the number of interested participants.

Completion of our classes guarantees the acquisition of skills in operating loaders of most types. Graduates should be able to cope with working in a wide variety of conditions, know the parameters of the equipment they are operating, be able to carry out basic servicing and know what safe working conditions look like.

After obtaining a permit to operate a telehandler, the graduate should easily obtain employment:

  • in warehouses,
  • in construction,
  • in the production halls,

Telescopic handler - key information

loader with extended arm

Telescopic handlers belong to the category of handling equipment, dealing primarily with work involving the handling of materials in industrial or manufacturing halls or warehouses. Telescopic handlers are subject to registration and inspection by the Office of Technical Inspection, which means that a licence is required to operate them.

Telescopic loader characteristics

Telescopic handlers are primarily used to transport bulky loads that cannot be handled by equipment such as forklift trucks due to warehouse or hall conditions. They are ideal for handling material at heights of up to several tens of metres.

A telehandler has a telescopic boom that extends horizontally and vertically. Using a telehandler is easier than operating a crane; nevertheless, these machines have some limitations in terms of stability.

Breakdown

Chargers in basic aspects are divided into:

  • rigid (frontal),
  • rotating.
